Advanced Acquisition Package
AAP includes advanced electronics and enhanced software analytical tools that permit significantly higher data resolution as well as object flow and acquisition rates. Higher signal resolution is achieved with 16-bit data resolution to offer: 32x more detail in intensity and size (than the standard software); the ability to detect smaller objects; to distinguish 5 micron size differences; and to detect lower intensity fluorescence signals. The increased object acquisition rate permits the sample to be run 4x faster.
Additional software features include: improved data displays such as linear and log scaling; extended sorting capabilities; electronic fluorescence compensation for increased fluorescence discrimination; and user-defined math functions for advanced real-time data manipulation. Expanded data storage capabilities are fully compatible with FCS 2.0 standard.
AAP can be included at the time of manufacture or retrofitted to most installed COPAS systems in the field. Because of the performance enhancements it provides, the AAP package is a recommended upgrade for all COPAS models. It is required for the XL model because of the extra electronic requirements of the HTS (High Throughput Screening) options included in the XL.
