BioSorter
Measured Parameters
Measurement of axial length (TOF) and optical density (EXT) of each object, as well as fluorescence excitation, is achieved by a 488 nm solid-state laser that is standard on all BioSorter units. Up to three additional lasers may also be added for excitation of other fluorophores.
Fluorescence collection optics and photomultiplier tube detectors are utilized to maximize fluorescence sensitivity. Optical filters allow for simultaneous detection of three fluorescence emission wavelengths. These filters and dichroic mirrors can be configured to precisely select specific regions of fluorescence. Optional filters are available in a variety of ranges and are user changeable.
