About Union Biometrica, Inc.
Large Particle Flow Cytometry for Analysis and Gentle Sorting - Union Biometrica designs and markets research tools for high throughput analysis and sorting. We provide Large Particle Flow Cytometers (COPAS™ and BioSorter®) for objects that are too large / too fragile for traditional flow cytometers and offer an alternative to manual sorting. This includes many cell types such as mature adipocytes, hepatocytes, and cardiomyocytes, which vary in size and are not traditionally compatible with conventional flow cytometers. Other larger sample types such as cell clusters and 3D organotypic cultures, including EBs, pancreatic islets, kidney tubules and glomeruli. These systems analyze and sort objects based on size and fluorescence parameters. Automating this process offers increased speed, sensitivity, quantification, and repeatability of experiments.
