Union Biometrica, Inc. to showcase the new VAST BioImager™ and LP Sampler™ at SLAS2013

Join our experts in Booth #632 to discuss the new VAST BioImager. The VAST BioImager is used in the process of high throughput bright-field and fluorescent image acquisition for high content analysis. More specifically, the system is designed for automating the handling, movement and orientation of zebrafish larvae for quick image capture at cellular resolution.
The VAST BioImager is a modular, configurable and expandable platform that can grow with your research needs and budget. Options include automation software, new LP Sampler large particle auto-sampler for multi-well plates, and high resolution kit for mounting VAST on your upright microscope for collecting the cellular images you prefer. For further information on this new innovative technology which will be available in early 2013, we invite you to view poster number TP 048, entitled “A new device for rapid image acquisition, analysis and phenotypic screening of zebrafish” during the High Throughput Technologies session.
Zebrafish provide a model system for a range of biomedical studies in such areas as drug discovery, toxicology, and fundamental processes of vertebrate biology. Visit us for technical discussions about experiments that might benefit from our various high throughput analysis and sorting technologies, including our BioSorter® flow cytometer.
The BioSorter is a continuous flow system capable of analyzing, sorting and dispensing objects ranging in size from 1 to 1500 µm, such as multicellular organisms, cell clusters, bead-based libraries and other samples that are too large or too fragile for traditional flow cytometers. For more information go to: http://www.unionbio.com/biosorter/
About Union Biometrica, Inc.
Union Biometrica designs and markets Large Particle Flow Cytometers (COPAS™ and BioSorter®) for objects that are too large / too fragile for traditional cytometers and offer an alternative to manual sorting. These systems sort and dispense objects based on size and fluorescent parameters. Automating this process offers increased speed, sensitivity, quantification, and repeatability of experiments.
Peer reviewed journal papers referencing the various sorting applications using our COPAS™ and BioSorter® instruments can be viewed from: http://www.unionbio.com/publications/.
